I am Cally Fruscello, a Portland, OR based holistic health coach, chef, and founder of Seed to Health. Seed to Health has served individuals and families nationwide since 2011, as well as partnered with businesses and events who are devoted to whole food wellness.
When I was 12 years old, one of my best friends and I decided to become vegetarians. My mom was skeptical of my intentions, considering I was a weight conscious, almost teenager. She demanded that I be a responsible vegetarian and eat a balanced diet. Over time I proved to her that my intentions were essentially to be healthier and that I was capable of cooking for myself and our family of 7!
Along with my mom’s encouragement, great influences from a family of devoted cooks, and the legendary Moosewood Cookbook, my love of good food and cooking blossomed. I studied cooks books, memorized recipes and helped in the kitchen as much as I could. I went on to earn two B.A.'s in Psychology and Studio Art, my other loves. In 2009, I became a certified Holistic Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. My interests and education have blended together into a set of services that are resourceful, compassionate, and creative.
Food has always been a centerpiece of gatherings in my life. Feeding people is one of the most satisfying acts of love for me. Yet I wholly understand that interest, skills, time and budgets around food vary tremendously. I created Seed to Health as a dynamic forum to share my love for and knowledge of all things good food!
