Lauren Eisenberg is a 500 hour certified Registered Yoga Alliance Instructor. A 1999 graduate of the University of Oregon, Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Movement Science and a minor in Biology. In 2002, she earned her Massage Therapy License from the East West School of the Healing Arts, and has practiced therapeutic massage for the last 15 years in the Pacific Northwest. 

Where does your inspiration to teach and practice come from? From my heart. From a deep, intuitive, transparent place that is a light which guides my soul. From a place of truly wanting to help others, and myself, feel their very best.

All of her life, Lauren has loved being active.  From climbing trees and playing numerous sports, to singing, dancing and performing ~ with the common thread of a connection between her mind and body prevailing from a very young age. Now, her life’s work is about teaching others the power and potential of healing one’s own body ~ linking to the inner wisdom that guides us all. To this, Lauren brings her life’s work of over 25 years of unbound enthusiasm and teaching experience to guide you safely on and off the yoga mat.

What is your greatest strength as a teacher? Listening, observing, respecting all yoga beliefs, and meeting each student where they are at. Being able to address each student's needs. Holding a transparent, supportive, and healing environment where all students feel welcomed and safe. Teaching a sustainable practice with tools to help students take care of themselves on and off the mat, and in the world.

Lauren’s skill set is founded on extensive training and  continued  study:  anatomy, therapeutic sequencing of asana (postures), pranayama (breath work) and the neuroscience of pranayama; yogic philosophy and application in today’s modern world, proper and safe alignment of all postures, as well as the art of teaching and truly connecting with her students. She believes in holding a safe and comfortable learning environment to facilitate a nurturing practice where her students can explore, in depth, the many layers of the ancient healing system that is Yoga.

"Lauren is my favorite yoga instructor, and I’ll tell you why. She has deep, thorough knowledge of yoga  combined with seemingly infinite compassion and wise perseverance. I’m 54 and have had injuries. I have to “work around” a bunch of asanas, and Lauren understands and guides me easily. I have been practicing yoga for 43 years (Oh, GOD!) and her class is challenging. Lauren offers a range for each pose so I can make it as easy or as difficult as I want within the structure of the class. It’s not simply asanas.
